THE 11TH GRADE

by Michaela Komitova

synopsis

Lina Nikolova, a former dance competitor and teacher with little experience, was appointed as a replacement in an elite school. Surrounded by collegial distrust and wayward students, she quickly realized that standard methods of work would not be effective. Combining a fighting spirit, honest behavior and innovative ways, she manages to cope with the challenges of her students and wins them over to her side. At the same time the dance hall, renovated for more than two years, is ready and her long dream to run her own dancing groups is about to come true. Her students, however, refuse to say goodbye to her so easily and provide a final challenge. It places Lina into a highly complicated dilemma: to be a dance instructor or a teacher.
