THE GAZE

synopsis

Esfandyar, an Iranian expatriate living in Paris, returns to Iran after twenty years of absence, on the verge of loosing his sight. He has to confront the ghosts of his past: his father who is about to die, but also his old love Forogh, who has married his father in the meantime, thus becoming Esfandyar's stepmother. Between political betrayals and love conflicts, Esfandyar has many accounts to settle before he sinks in the darkness.
