synopsis

When the nuclear accident at Chernobyl arrives, a young couple find that their wedding day turns into a day of disaster, destined to change their lives forever. He is a fireman called into the inferno. Years later she makes a living leading tours for tourists to the ravaged area. Caught between staying and leaving, the locals live in a state of suspended animation.
