HANY
by Michal Samir
synopsis
The stories of the film’s protagonists play out over a single evening in a literary bar in the middle of a city. The plot follows the individual characters in the here and now, this is where their fates intertwine and collide. Each of the story’s participants enters our tale for different reasons: one wants to just have fun, another is looking for a relationship, another is confused, while her friend is drunk. A group of students is moving amongst them, led by the actor Jiří, who earns money on the side by selling drugs. All of our characters’ stories then increase in importance with the eruption of a violent street revolt that demolishes all social conventions. The world is turned upside down. Now we will see what kind of person each of the characters is. Will they awaken in the middle of the crowd as beast of prey or as scavengers? Or even, perhaps, as unexpected heroes? The fairy tale turns into a horror story and a comedy.
