synopsis
Thirty years ago, Switzerland was shocked by a scandal that today seems almost forgotten: over 900'000 people were monitored for their political convictions. Set against this historical background of the secret files scandal, the zealous policeman Viktor Schuler is sent to the Zurich Schauspielhaus by his superior to observe the left-wing theatre scene. He soon succumbs to the charm of the chaotic life of an artist. He falls in love with the actress Odile Lehmann, whom he is supposed to monitor.
