When one gives up fear, one finds freedom, even when in confinement. Inspired by true facts, the movie is a story of love and search for freedom against the background of the 1951 Communist-ordered deportation of 40,000 innocent people to the Bărăgan Plain, the so-called "Romanian Siberia".
