ERRANCES
by Damien Odoul
synopsis
1968 in France’s Gévaudan region. Jacques drives at top speed along a steep road. He’s drunk. At the same time, his wife Lou gives birth to their child in a provincial clinic. The birth goes badly and Lou is unconscious when the baby is born. Jacques tries to forget both of them in the arms of a woman.
The story of a trio out of control, a tragedy that takes place over three periods, a frantic search for happiness that is forever out of reach. And yet it’s not for want of believing it, of promising as much as dreaming it. But between dream and nightmare, Jacques and Lou tear each other apart and destroy each other.
