IL PALAZZO

by Federica Di Giacomo

synopsis

In Rome stands a Palace. The owner, a renaissance patron, offers his friends rent-free apartments, embracing the joyfully ambitious causes of his guests. Among these causes, the endless production of an art film. A ‘kolossal’ directed by the self-taught Mauro. Unfortunately the tragedy is lurking behind the corner. Mauro dies at the age of 45. And now, for the first time in the history of this building, people are facing a delicate heritage: who could finish his film? The Palace’s guests, comrades in adventure, have to face this harsh task in a vertigo of digital ghosts. Hours of film emerge from the archives, with which they could give meaning to their lives and eventually, to the “Palace” in everybody’s lives.
