European Film Promotion: Which is the film you are most proud of and why?
Lilja Ósk Snorradóttir: Today I would have to say Echo by Rúnar Rúnarsson (read news). I am very proud of how we put the project together. It is low a budget project with a great team and the outcome is a beautiful feature that is a contemporary mirror where reality is captured, initiated, and staged.

What are the challenges and merits of producing in your country?
The biggest challenge being from Iceland is the limitation of funding that can be applied for here. But being from a small country like Iceland can also have great advantages. The country is very production friendly, it is easy to access the right contacts when needed, the island is extremely beautiful and the crew is very talented.

What are your expectations in Cannes as one of the "Producers on the Move"?
I look forward to this year at Cannes. Through the program I hope to meet producers that could be potential partners in the future and I look forward to see the projects they will be presenting.

What are your next projects?
We are now in post-production with Echo so that one is next up. We at Pegasus Pictures are in development on both films and TV series that I will bring with me to Cannes. The slate is strong so it’s hard to tell which one of those projects will be first to materialise. The slate is a collection of Icelandic, Danish and English language projects that ranges from art house to black comedy, drama and thrillers.
