After a highly successful third European edition at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival in April, Frontières announced a new partnership with the Cannes Film Market for 2017 (read interview with market & industry director Lindsay Peters and executive director Julie Bergeron). To introduce the partnership, Frontières and the market are hosting the Frontières Day, which will include a day of programming in Cannes on Sunday, 15 May. Events will include a Canadian-Genre VR presentation in collaboration with the Canadian Film Centre; Frontières Goes to Cannes, a work-in-progress presentation of 3 films in post-production —(Xander Robin's Are We Not Cats (US), Taneli Mustonen's Bodom [+lire aussi :

 (Finland/Estonia) and Tricia Lee's One Drop (US)—; and the Fantastic Fanatics Mixer, in collaboration with Blood Window at Ventana Sur, the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, and the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival.

In the meantime, Frontières returns to the Fantasia International Film Festival for its sixth edition, which will take place 21-24 July in Montreal, Canada. The industry registration for the event is now open (click here - early bird deadline: 10 June).

The first wave of projects selected to participate in its fifth North American edition has also been announced. For the first time, Frontières will be presenting two television series as part of its line-up. European projects include Richard Raaphorst’s The Profundis (Netherlands), Brian O'Malley’s Soulless (Ireland), Aldo Tardozzi’s Striguni (Croatia) and series House of Psychotic Women (UK).
