The Greek Film Centre (GFC) has announced its first round of funding pre-approvals for 2018. Divided into four different programmes, the support granted totals over €850,000. More precisely, 11 feature films will receive the centre’s support, in the New Directors, Documentaries, and Low Budget programmes. Also, 25 projects that are currently at various stages of scriptwriting will be supported through the Script Writing/Development programme, to the tune of €160,500. This is the first session of pre-approval grants decided on by the new GFC board of directors, which took office earlier this month.
