The Giornate degli Autori, the LUX Prize and Europa Cinemas have announced the list of the 28 European film-lovers who were selected from among over 200 applicants - coming from 75 cinemas across Europe - to be part of the ninth edition of 28 Times Cinema.

The project, born in 2010 from the synergy between the LUX Prize of the European Parliament, Europa Cinemas and the Giornate degli Autori, with the collaboration of Cineuropa, every year creates a community of young Europeans who bond over their shared passion for cinema. They will first get to know one another in Venice, where they will be the Jury of the GdA Director's Award (€20.000).

The participants are Natalia Del Mar Kasik (Austria), Ben De Smet (Belgium), Yassen Atanassov (Bulgaria), Betty Stojnić (Croatia), Diego Aparicio (Cyprus), Vojtech Konecny (Czech Republic), Dicte C Houmöller (Denmark), Rasmus Rammo (Estonia), Santeri Laasanen (Finland), Julie Lavigne (France), Charlotte Heusler (Germany), Dimosthenis Kontes (Greece), András Heilig (Hungary), David Deignan (Ireland), Bianca Delpiano (Italy), Madara Enzele (Latvia), Martyna Ratnikaitė (Lithuania), Jeff Schaul (Luxembourg), Joseph Anthony Paolella (Malta), Hanna Drzazga (Poland), Camila Lobo (Portugal), Anastasia Gavrilovici (Romania), Dominika Jarečná (Slovak Republik), Luka Benedičič (Slovenia), Alba Villarmea Sancho (Spain), Elijah Debot (Sweden), Sofie Cato Maas (The Netherlands) and Jonathan Atkinson (United Kingdom).

Later, they will become the ambassadors of the LUX Prize, promoting the three films from its Official Competition in their local territories.
