The 65th edition of the Pula Film Festival included ten domestic titles (seven of them world premieres) in its official competition and two out of competition, both of which world premieres. From that pool, the juries, critics and audience chose their favourites, and presented their decisions at two separate ceremonies on Saturday 21 July, the one for the press at noon and the other in the more glamorous surroundings of the Pula Arena in the evening. , was handed one more Golden Arena (Saša Budimir, for special effects) and also scooped the Oktavijan Award from the Croatian Film Critics’ Society.

However, if it’s the sheer number of Golden Arenas we’re interested in, the winners would be Nevio Marasović’s Comic Sans [+lire aussi :

. The latter film swept most of the technical categories (Best Visual Effects, Art Direction, Costume Design and Score), while Borko Perić was named Best Supporting Actor. Comic Sans pocketed Best Sound Design and Editing, alongside Best Supporting Actress (Nataša Janjić), Lead Actor (Janko Popović Volarić) and Director, for Marasović. Another film that took home multiple awards was Lada Kamenski [+lire aussi :

 by Sara Hribar and Marko Šantić, scooping three Arenas (with Hribar winning the Best First-time Director and Screenplay Awards, and Doris Šarić-Kukuljica being crowned Best Lead Actress) as well as the FEDEORA Award in the national competition. 

Finally, Elmir Jukić’s The Frog [+lire aussi :
