The film revolves around the Attorre family, who live in a decent suburb in a terraced house. Luca (Giannini), a freelance journalist and packager of coloured items, barely makes a living in the newspapers, while Susi (Ramazzotti), a dancer, has been reduced to teaching overweight ladies, and Lucilla, their six-year-old daughter, is quiet and imaginative but suffers from asthma. In a magnificent and incomprehensible Rome, multi-layered, maternal yet unkind, Mary Ann (O'Donovan), an Irish art history student, touches down to start a new job as an au pair to the little Lucilla. One year in Italy at the Attorre home will prove to be full of legitimate and illicit ties, friendship and love.

The film will be shot for eight weeks and also stars Massimo Ghini, Marcello Fonte (Best Actor at Cannes for Dogman [+lire aussi :

Vivere was produced by Marco Belardi for Lotus Production (Leone Film Group) with RAI Cinema, in collaboration with 3 Marys Entertainment and will be distributed in Italian cinemas by 01 Distribution.
