has won the Golden Pram, the main award at the 16th Zagreb Film Festival, which took place from 11-18 November.

The screenplay for Glavonić's film, which world-premiered in the Cannes Directors' Fortnight, was partly developed through Zagreb's My First Script educational platform. The prize, worth €4,000, was given out by the jury comprising directors Juho Kuosmanen and Maja Miloš, and actress Deborah Kara Unger, who also decided to hand a Special Mention to Phuttiphong Aroonpheng's Manta Ray [+lire aussi :

(Belgium/France) won the PLUS Award for the Best Youth Film, while Debra Granik's Leave No Trace triumphed in the Together Again competition for movies by directors whose earlier works took part in the festival's main competition, traditionally reserved for first or second efforts. 

In the International Short Film competition, the Golden Pram for Best International Short Film, worth €1,000, went to Iranian director Farnoosh Samadi's Gaze, while Poland's Dawid Bodzak received a Special Mention for Tremors.

In the Checkers programme, Croatia's strongest platform for up-and-coming local filmmakers, the Golden Pram Award, worth €1,350, was given to White Room by Mladen Stanić. Cherries by Dubravka Turić received a Special Mention.

Meanwhile, Benedikt Erlingsson's Woman at War [+lire aussi :

, which has just snagged the European Parliament’s LUX Prize (see the news), scooped the Audience Award at Zagreb.

In the Industry Youth! section's pitching forum for student projects, How I Learned to Play Chess by Borjan Stojkov and Dušan Efremov from the Skopje Faculty of Dramatic Arts won the Best Pitch Award, which consists of image post-production services at the Vizije Studio, sound post-production at Studio Nazor, and film-poster design courtesy of Šesnić&Turković. 

Two projects received Special Mentions: Take Me to the Sea by Tamara Todorović and Andrija Dujović, from the Belgrade Faculty of Drama Arts, and Fragile by Tomislav Šoban and Adrijana Dimić, from the Zagreb Academy of Dramatic Arts.
