Polish director Lech Majewski (The Mill and the Cross [+lire aussi :

His upcoming film, Brigitte Bardot the Wonderful, combines the crude reality of communist Poland with the magical world of cinema.
The protagonist of the film is Adam, whose mother is persecuted by the state police because Adam’s father fought in World War II as a pilot and then disappeared. Adam dreams that his father will one day land on the sports field at his school. One day, as the boy is watching Jean-Luc Godard’s Contempt in the cinema, he is transported to Brigitte Bardot’s dressing room. Soon, he enters a mysterious hotel, where he meets his classmates as well as Elizabeth Taylor, Marlon Brando, Jean-Paul Belmondo, the Beatles and many more legendary performers. The story is inspired by the character of Telemachus in Homer’s Odyssey and his journey in search of his father.
Majewski wrote and is directing the film, which stars Kacper Olszewski (Baby Bump [+lire aussi :

Filming locations include the cities of Zabrze, Katowiece and Sosnowiec, in the Silesia region. The Polish Film Institute and the City of Katowice are co-funding the film.
The shooting period has been divided into a number of tranches, two of which have already wrapped. The end of filming is planned for 2019, while the release of the movie is set for 2020. The world sales rights are still available.
