The story follows Jean Barreau, a retiree who lives in the countryside. There, he is the leader of a spiritual commune for tormented souls, whom he promises the chance of a second life. One of his believers and guests is 30-year-old Camille Griffon, who is trying to discover a meaningful path in her life. The problems start when her doppelganger appears in her house.
