German director Rainer Matsutani, known for various fantasy and genre features (his debut film, Over My Dead Body, made in 1995 and now something of a cult movie, was followed by 666: In Bed With the Devil, Gangs and 205 – Room of Fear [+lire aussi :

The eight episodes of this new Berlin-set, English-language production, which will air on NBCUniversal’s SYFY channel around the world starting in late 2019, were shot in 60 days, in and around Berlin, between mid-November 2018 and mid-February this year.
Spides centres on a young woman, Nora (Rosabell Laurenti Sellers, of Game of Thrones fame), who wakes up from a coma without any memory of her previous life, due to a mysterious substance she was somehow administered. Her quest to discover what happened to her leads her to uncover a conspiracy masterminded by aliens who are using a synthetic drug to infiltrate humans and use them as host bodies, but as she finds out more and more about it, she realises that she is the key to the very invasion she is fighting. The cast of the series also includes Désirée Nosbusch, Falk Hentschel, Florence Kasumba and Damian Hardung.
Spides, created and scripted by Matsutani, is being produced by The Spides Production, Katapult Film and Red Sun Films, in co-production with Palatin Media (which is also in charge of sales for the project), Aventin Film, Nevision Ltd and Baby Giant Hollyberg, with the support of the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg.
