The South-Eastern European (SEE) Cinema Network, which held its annual general assembly on 7 November in Thessaloniki during the 60th Thessaloniki International Film Festival, has announced its latest slate of funding, which amounts to €128,000 in total. Eight feature-film projects, one from each of the network’s member states, which are currently at the development stage, will be supported with €8,000 each, while 11 short films will also receive total support of €64,000.

Each of the eight states in the network – Albania, Cyprus, Greece, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania and Serbia – submitted two projects, and the requirement was that they must have secured financing from their home funding bodies and must have at least one co-production company attached from another country in the network.

The SEE Cinema Network is an initiative that was founded by the Greek Film Centre in 2003 and has funded more than 100 co-productions since its inception.
