The 31st edition of the Trieste Film Festival will this evening award the Trieste Prize for Best Feature Film in Competition, as voted upon by the audience, to the Bulgarian film The Father [+lire aussi :

The Alpe-Adria Cinema Award for Best Documentary in Competition, meanwhile, went to The Euphoria of Being [+lire aussi :

fiche film] by Hungarian filmmaker Réka Szabó; a work on the extraordinary Éva Fahidi, who is the only person in her family to have returned to the concentration camp Auschwitz Birkenau, and who is now – seventy years later – playing the lead role in a theatrical production on her life.

Last but not least, Aliaksei Paluyan’s Belorussian film The Lake Of Happiness walked away with the Osiride Brovedani Foundation Award for Best Short Film in Competition.

Other parallel awards of note, amongst the many other accolades on offer, include the Cineuropa Prize, which was entrusted to Lillian [+lire aussi :
