Filming has kicked off on a new Italian Netflix Original Series Zero, which was born out of an idea from young Lombardian writer of Angolan origin Antonio Dikele Distefano and created by Menotti (the co-author of They Call Me Jeeg [+lire aussi :

Written by Dikele Distefano and Menotti, together with Stefano Voltaggio (who’s also Creative Executive Producer on the series) Massimo Vavassori, Carolina Cavalli and Lisandro Monaco, Zero tells the tale of a shy boy with the extraordinary superpower of invisibility. He’s not so much a superhero as a modern hero who discovers his powers when Barrio, a peripheral neighbourhood in Milan from which he longs to escape, finds itself in peril. Zero will have to step into the uncomfortable shoes of a hero, in spite of himself, and, over the course of his adventures, will discover the friendship of Sharif, Inno, Momo and Sara, and maybe even love. It’s an original and unique exploration of Milan – as promised by the authors – which will delve into a rich and varied world of underrepresented cultures and will feature significant contributions from the rap scene.
The cast is composed of young, talented, first and second generation Italians: the protagonist role of Zero (Omar) is played by Giuseppe Dave Seke, while other main characters come courtesy of Haroun Fall (Sharif), Beatrice Grannò (Anna), Richard Dylan Magon (Momo), Daniela Scattolin (Sara), Madior Fall (Inno), Virgina Diop (Awa), Alex Van Damme (Thierno), Frank Crudele (Sandokan), Giordano De Plano (Fumagalli), Ashai Lombardo Arop (Marieme), Miguel Gobbo Diaz (Rico) and Livio Kone (Honey).
Produced by Fabula Pictures in collaboration with Red Joint Film, Zero will be directed by Paola Randi (Little Tito and the Aliens [+lire aussi :
