The cameras are rolling on Christian Bengtson's debut feature, a family drama entitled Krysantemum. Before working on this film, Bengtson attended the National Film School of Denmark and made several shorts (among which are Shiva, Draget and A Calling), all of which garnered nominations at the Danish Film Awards.

Krysantemum follows a young man called Anders (played by Morten Hee Andersen), who is involved in illegal firework sales. Anders must make amends with his father, Thomas (Henrik Birch), whom he hasn't spoken to for years following a tragedy, as they try to save their family farm. The film has been described as an “explosive” family drama that presents an emotional and thrilling look at a family involved in illegal transportation and sales, and their search for forgiveness. Karen-Lise Mynster (The Butterfly Swing, the TV series When the Dust Settles) plays the role of Anders' mother.

Krysantemum is being produced by Daniel Mühlendorph for Denmark’s Hyæne Film, and received support from the Danish Film Institute's talent scheme, New Danish Screen, and the West Danish Film Fund. The feature is set for release next year.
