The six films which will take part in the ninth edition of Final Cut in Venice, as part of the Venice Production Bridge unfurling within the 78th Venice International Film Festival (1 - 11 September), have now been selected. The project has supported the post-production of films hailing from African countries, as well as from Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine and Syria, since 2013.
The ninth edition of Final Cut in Venice will consist of three days of work (from 5 to 7 September) on Venice’s Lido, during which working copies of the six selected films will be presented to producers, buyers, distributors, production companies and festival programmers.
The first two days of the workshop (5 and 6 September) will be dedicated to screenings of these six films, while a special session of one-to-one meetings will be organised between the selected projects and accredited professionals during the Venice Production Bridge event on 7 September. Final Cut in Venice will close with the allocations of prizes, either in the form of services or money, aimed at supporting the films financially in the post-production phase.
