“After two difficult years, we have been able to guarantee a physical edition of the festival, with many guests accompanying their films and attending talks. We’ve also decided to offer an online line-up of some of our films at the end of the festival”. This is how the director of the Bolzano Film Festival Bozen Helene Christanell introduced the 35^th edition of the festival, which will unspool from 5 to 10 April in various locations across Bolzano as well as in Merano Bressanone and Caldaro.

The Focus Europe line-up, which has been a feature of the festival since 2016, will be wholly dedicated to Albania and Kosovo this year, consisting of four feature films and four shorts, including Hive [+lire aussi :

The programme is “   characterised by multiple works by young directors”, Christanell adds. “The feature films in competition home in on family and the role of the mother; this year’s documentaries on the other hand, focus on political outlooks on humanitarian emergencies and investigative journalism”. The Province of Bolzano Prize for the best film among the eight in competition, will be awarded by a jury composed of actress Eleonora Daniel, screenwriter Claudia Landsberger and director Corrado Ravazzini.
