This week, Montenegrin writer-director Ivan Marinović will start shooting his second feature, Forever Hold Your Peace, in Herceg Novi and on the Luštica peninsula, where his debut feature, The Black Pin [+lire aussi :

The film tells the story of Dragana (Croatian star Tihana Lazović), a bride-to-be who says she will not go through with it, just two days before the wedding – even though everything is ready and everyone knows about it. Leso (veteran thesp Momčilo Pićurić), the merciless patriarch of the family of the groom (Goran Slavić, from The Black Pin), has a suggestion for the rebellious bride: go through with the bloody wedding, act it out, and then go wherever you want the next day. She agrees. However, the offended groom still hopes she will stay. The traditional wedding includes a series of absurd events, steeped in alcohol, gunfire and dynamite, which will bring the worst of the characters’ personal anxieties into play.
Croatia's Goran Bogdan, Montenegro's Dejan Djonović and Dragana Dabović, Serbia's Mirjana Joković, and North Macedonia's Nikola Ristanovski also star in the film, which is described as an ensemble piece. Slovenia's Dominik Istenič is in charge of the cinematography, and the Czech Republic's Michal Reich (A Certain Kind of Silence [+lire aussi :

Marija Stojanović and Ivan Marinović are producing through Montenegro's Adriatic Western, while Milan Stojanović of Serbia's Sense Production, Veronika Kuhrova and Michal Kračmer of the Czech Republic's Analog Vision, Ankica Jurić Tilić of Croatia's Kinorama, Dejan Krajčevski of North Macedonia's Krug Film and Jožko Rutar of Slovenia's Spok Film are on board as co-producers.
