Every autumn the Spanish city of Valladolid proudly host its now legendary Seminci - International Film Week, which this year celebrates its 67th anniversary. Led by the journalist and filmmaker Javier Angulo, his team chooses a long list of titles of all genres and formats that never fails to disappoint the many audiences that flock to the cinemas around the city. (France/Italy), by Italian director Emanuele Crialese and starring Penelope Cruz, will open the event on 22nd October, followed by Master Gardener, the latest film by American genius Paul Schrader, on 29th October.

), as well as other films that have influenced him. He will also give a master class in the Miguel Delibes room at the Calderón Theatre, the venue for this festival.

There will also be special screenings of documentaries that give an overview of the careers of Spanish actress Julieta Serrano, the French screenwriter Jean-Claude Carrière, the pioneer Val del Omar, the comedy craftsman Fernando Colomo and the incomparable actor José Luis López Vázquez.

New for this year is the non-competitive section Seminci Series, featuring the fictional series The Chosen, by Dallas Jenkins (USA), and The Dark Heart, by Gustav Möller (Denmark/Sweden), and the Spanish docuseries Pacto de silencio. Santiago Corella ‘El Nani’ y la mafia policial, by Ángela Gallardo and César Vallejo, and PornoXplotación, by Mabel Lozano.
