(a Georgia-Germany co-production) by director Ioseb Bliadze at the close of the 23rd edition of the Lecce European Film Festival. Presided over by Pascal Diot and composed of Klaus Eder, Andriy Khalpakhchi, Marie-Pierre Vallé and Enrico Vannucci, the jury singled out the film “for its in-depth portrayal of society’s conservative attitude towards young people and for showing how it’s possible to become the master of one’s own destiny"

by Ukrainian director Christina Tynkevych “for depicting the tragic fate of a young, single mother against the backdrop of the injustice of certain social issues”.

, a first work by the young Lithuanian director Irina Pužauskaitė, not only received the award for Best Photography, but also nabbed itself the Audience Award and Cineuropa Prize, “for having depicted fragile characters and those wounded by life, who can be saved by their passions, but also in order to reward a first work by a very promising young director”.

The official jury likewise singled out the screenplay for Turkish director Nazli Elif Durlu’s Zuhal [+lire aussi :

, a movie which also bagged the FIPRESCI Jury Prize.

Last but not least, the SNGCI Award for Best European Actress/Actor, assigned by the Jury of Italian Film Journalists, went to Bosnia’s Marija Pikic, the protagonist of Aida Begić’s A Ballad [+lire aussi :
