The opening session of NEM Dubrovnik will pay tribute to a decade of building the NEM brand, reflecting on its journey, and fittingly, Mediavision will sponsor a panel titled “10 Years of NEM”. Participants will explore the key factors that drive content buyers’ decisions in the panel “What Makes Content Buyers Tick, and How Do They Find That Perfect Fit?”. ACT, the Association of Commercial Television in Europe, will sponsor a panel named “Europe and Broadcasters: Challenges and Opportunities”, which will delve into the crucial role played by legislators and regulators, particularly at the European level, when it comes to strengthening the media economy.

The panel “Central Europe: What Story Do We Want to Tell the World?”, sponsored by TVP World, aims to uncover the current standing of the CEE region in terms of its image and identity. Additionally, the panel “Is Europe Being Territorially Divided in Terms of Global Streamers’ Investments?” will provide insights into the future of Eastern European originals. The session on “End-user Pricing Wars” will focus on the challenges faced by SVoD services and operators dealing with inflation and the effects of an overcrowded market. Furthermore, “Must-offer in Croatia” will provide valuable insights into the newly implemented Electronic Media Act, examining its impact on cable operators and free-to-air channels. Lastly, attendees can satisfy their curiosity about free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) during the panel “Everything You've Always Wanted to Know About FAST But Were Afraid to Ask”.

One particular highlight of NEM Dubrovnik is the TV Tech Showcase, a dedicated segment that spotlights technology companies driving the growth and advancement of the television industry through their innovative solutions. Hosting this panel and showcase is Anette Schaefer from Big Picture, who will introduce prominent companies such as Comcast Technology Solutions, Broadpeak, Gcore and Sandbox Group, all of which will present their cutting-edge contributions. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to gain valuable insights from notable speakers like Haymi Behar from SPI International, Marcel Satanek from Slovak Telekom and Digi Slovakia, Aymeric Genty from Eutelsat, and Maria Rua Aguete, executive director and technology fellow at Omdia. These presentations promise to deliver valuable knowledge and expertise, enriching attendees' understanding of the industry.

Finally, guests can look forward to the unveiling of fresh content from industry giants during the four-day event. Companies such as Sony Pictures Television, Lionsgate and BBC Studios will showcase their latest offerings, providing a glimpse into the future of television. Notably, The Walt Disney Company and Telekom Srbija will share some important industry news, while United Group, Warner Bros Discovery, SkyShowtime, Deutsche Telekom, CME and other prominent entities are expected to provide valuable information throughout the event.
