Other filmmakers will arrive on the heels of successful shorts: After Dark is directed by Albania's Erenik Beqiri, whose Van competed at Cannes before winning Best Short at Les Arcs in 2019, while Hungary's Olivér Rudolf was in Cannes’ Cinéfondation Competition with Fonica M-120 before developing My Mother, the Monster.

Promising new directors in the line-up include Bulgaria's Ana Kitanova with Cold, Turkey's Zeynep Dilan Süren with It Will Hurt a Bit, Croatia's Josip Lukić with Mom's Alive Today, Montenegro's Djordje Vojvodić with Nothing Will Be Named After Me and Austria's Brigitta Kanyaro with Vagabondess (working title).

The project teams will have the chance to win several prizes: the Eurimages Co-Production Development Award (€20,000), the Film Centre Montenegro CineLink Award (€10,000), the Film Center Serbia CineLink Award (€10,000), the ARTEKino International Prize (€6,000) and the Female Voices CineLink Award (€10,000), sponsored by Film Centre Slovenia.
