This means that a grand total of 20 propositions have been chosen, of which 11 are fiction features, four are documentaries, two are animations and three are fiction series. The 20 filmmakers who have been selected will begin their residency in October, and up until the end of June 2024, they will enjoy access to the resources and support necessary for the development of their audiovisual projects. The Film Academy’s Madrid headquarters will serve as the location for this programme, and the academy will offer the creators a monthly financial contribution, help with moving and accommodation costs for those who do not live in the Community of Madrid, consultations with mentors, participation in the Film Academy’s activities and permanent contact with the industry.

star Olivia Delcán (La hija bastarda de Nino Bravo), Lucía Estévez (As defensas), Alejandro Pérez (Niebla) and documentarian Alfonso Amador (Papalagi) are those taking part in the second edition of the Rueda programme, which is extending its duration to last seven months, beginning this coming November. It is aimed at both national and foreign screenwriters who, owing to their geographical location, professional circumstances or family commitments, wish to develop their projects online. They will nonetheless come together at various in-person meetings in different Spanish cities during the course.
