. The synopsis introduces Montse (played by Emma Vilarasau), who is very excited because she is about to spend a weekend with the whole family at her house in Cadaqués, on the Costa Brava. She has been divorced for a long time, her ex has a new partner and her children have grown up and are living their lives without paying much attention to her. But nothing and nobody can take away her spirits or her excitement. She has been waiting for this moment for too long and has been dreaming of it. This weekend will be perfect... even if she has to burn everything to the ground to make it so.

For de la Orden, "A House on Fire is a film about the darker side of families: about everything that is kept quiet, about what is not said and about the less tender and more selfish side that we all have towards the people we love the most. All from a naturalistic approach, full of small moments, long dialogues, almost costumbrist summer situations, but with a sense of humour, bringing us closer to the pathos of a family that has somewhat forgotten how to be a family".

A House on Fire is produced by Sábado Películas and Playtime Movies in co-production with 3CatAtresmedia Cine and ElioFilm, with the collaboration of ICAA and ICEC and the participation of Netflix and Atresmedia. Film Factory Entertainment handles international sales, and it will be distributed in Spain by VerCine.
