The script, written by the director with Eva Pauné, introduces Alexandra (played by Cervantes), a young actress who is raped during a New Year's Eve party with her friends. She was unable to see her attacker and over the next year she will face guilt, disgust and shame. While Alex tries to channel all that pain through theatre, where she plays the vengeful character of Medea, her brother Adrián (played by Monner) faces the anger of having failed to protect her and the driving force of his own decisions.

For its director, "although a necessary door has recently been opened to address issues such as those dealt with in our film, I believe that there is still a long way to go to explore all the ramifications and consequences of acts of sexual violence. More narrative paths need to be opened and we want to bring this dirty and angry feminine viewpoint... or to explore how the family environment tries to solve the issue without taking into account the needs and desires of the victim".

"I wonder whether we as a society have found the balance between justice and morality or whether it seems insufficient, and so we feel the need to continue to trace the path and the sentence on our own," she continues. "I can't wait to tell this story with a female perspective that roars, with grit, violence and shame", she concludes.

Gemma Blasco graduated in 2014 in film directing and screenwriting from Bande à Part, Barcelona Film School. She has written and directed short films, advertising and audiovisuals for theatre. In 2017 she directed her first short film Jauría, premiered in the Official Selection of the Malaga Film Festival and selected for festivals such as Gijón, Alcine, Almería and Bogoshorts. In 2018 she directed her first feature film, the experimental El zoo [+lire aussi :
