(Costa Rica/Spain) by Antonella Sudasassi Furniss. The picture zooms in on 68-year-old Ana, 69-year-old Patricia and 71-year-old Mayela, who have developed their understanding of what it means to be a woman based on unspoken rules and implicit expectations while growing up in a repressive era when sexuality was a taboo subject.

by Basel Adra, Hamdan Ballal, Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor was crowned with the Panorama Audience Award for best documentary. Both prizes were handed out by the Berlinale together with radioeins and rbb television. This year, more than 24,000 votes were cast and evaluated. The Panorama strand showcased a total of 31 titles (including ten documentaries) produced by 36 different countries.

This year’s Teddy Awards saw the triumph of Ray Leung’s All Shall Be Well (Hong Kong/China), crowned Best Feature Film. In it, Patra Au Ga Man and Maggie Li Lin Lin play Angie and Pat, a well-off lesbian couple in their mid-sixties. They have lived together for 30 years in the flat Pat owns in Hong Kong. Their relationship is accepted by their friends and families, and they are valued and loved by those around them. The first turning point takes place when Pat unexpectedly dies one night.

Next, FIPRESCI awarded four films in the main competition, and in the Encounters, Panorama and Forum strands. Maryam Moghaddam and Behtash Sanaeeha’s My Favourite Cake [+lire aussi :
