This Sunday 27 April, the 12th edition of the Platino awards ceremony was held in Madrid, for series and films from 23 Ibero-American countries. I’m Still Here [+lire aussi :

won three major awards: Best Ibero-American Fiction Film, Best Director (for Walter Salles) and Best Actress (for Fernanda Torres and her striking work), becoming the first Brazilian production to win the awards for Best Film and Best Director in the history of these awards.

In the series categories, One Hundred Years of Solitude, an adaptation of Gabriel García Márquez's literary classic, has won, in addition to the award for Best TV Series or Mini-Series, the awards for Best Actor in a Series or Miniseries for Claudio Cataño and Best Supporting Actor in a Series or Miniseries for Jairo Camargo. , while Best Supporting Actress in a Series or Miniseries went to Spain's Carmen Maura for Land of Women. The award for Best Series Creator went to Vicente Amorim, Fernando Coimbra, Luiz Bolognesi and Patrícia Andrade, for Senna, a biopic of the famous Brazilian racing driver.

The Platino Awards are promoted by EGEDA (Audiovisual Producers' Rights Management Association) and FIPCA (Ibero-American Federation of Film and Audiovisual Producers), with the aim of promoting and disseminating the Ibero-American film and audiovisual industry, boosting its recognition and expansion worldwide.
