Set to take place in Wrocław from 20-22 July, the 15th edition of Polish Days runs during the 25th New Horizons International Film Festival (17-27 July). As the leading industry event for upcoming Polish projects, it presents a diverse line-up of 22 highly anticipated films at different stages: four completed films, eight works in progress and ten projects in development. Polish Days offers a comprehensive snapshot of the nation’s cinematic achievements, cementing its role as a festival cornerstone.
Weronika Czołnowska, head of industry events at New Horizons IFF, commented: “We are delighted to yet again present the newest Polish films to the international film-industry guests. There are 22 projects in the programme by both well-established filmmakers and promising debutants. The selection process gets more demanding every year: this year, we had over 110 submissions. We are happy to host numerous international guests, among them the festival programmers from Sundance, Venice, Toronto, the Berlinale and Locarno.”

Isolated and consumed by guilt, he struggles to reclaim his wife’s trust and face the consequences of his actions (see the news). In Artur Wyrzykowski’s This Is Not Happening, a father’s world falls apart after his teenage son commits a murder at school. Bartek grapples with impossible choices while confronting harsh truths about family, masculinity and himself. Finally, Glorious Summer [+lire aussi :

Among the works in progress, Tell Me What You Feel by Łukasz Ronduda (A Heart of Love [+lire aussi :

Through games and art, their relationship becomes a space to confront pain, explore new masculinities and challenge emotional norms. Maciej Sobieszczański’s Through the Wall tells the true story of Wiesia and Jerzy, two prisoners in Stalin-era Poland who fall in love by communicating through Morse code without ever seeing each other.
The selection features six debut directors. In Exotic, Sonja Orlewicz-Zakrzewska follows 30-year-old Mila to a pole-dance camp, where eccentric roommates and personal awakenings push her to confront fears and reclaim her independence. Paweł Orwat’s psychological thriller God Goes Deep depicts a psychiatrist isolating himself with his wife and her mentally disabled brother in 1980s rural USA, pursuing DMT research amid strange phenomena. Emi Buchwald’s metaphysical dramedy No Ghosts on Good Street follows four siblings navigating early adulthood as Benek battles a haunting apparition and Franek spirals, leaving sisters Nastka and Jana to hold the family together.
Julia Rogowska’s The Time That Never Came blends speculative fiction with a personal tale of ageing and lost love. In a world divided by age, 65-year-old Sara reunites with her eternally young ex, Oskar. Hiding in plain sight as his mother, old emotions resurface, forcing them to confront their irreconcilable lives. Natasza Parzymies’ The Worst Days of My Life is a raw coming-of-age story following 25-year-old Kora over five turbulent years. Its shifting styles mirror her struggles with identity, love and purpose amid generational anxiety. Finally, Agata Trzebuchowska’s Ties is a psychological horror where adolescent tension and family decay collide in a rural home. As siblings Maks and Emma form a disturbing bond, their mysteriously rejuvenated grandmother triggers a haunting transformation that they cannot escape.
