The Waves Film Bazaar (WFB), one of Asia’s largest film markets with a strong focus on South Asian cinema, has opened submissions for its Co-Production Market. The 19th edition of the event will run from 20-24 November at the Marriott Resort in Goa, alongside the International Film Festival of India (IFFI).
Launched in 2007, the Co-Production Market has become a key platform for filmmakers seeking financial and artistic partnerships, connecting curated projects with producers, sales agents, distributors and financiers from India and abroad. Acclaimed titles such as The Lunchbox [+lire aussi :

For the 2025 edition, Waves Film Bazaar will award $20,000 in cash grants to three selected projects: $10,000 and $5,000 for fiction features, and $5,000 for a documentary project. The initiative, introduced in 2024, aims to provide decisive development funding for emerging works.
Besides the Co-Production Market, the Bazaar also hosts Market Screenings, a Viewing Room with around 200 new South Asian films, Work-in-Progress Labs, the Knowledge Series, Producer’s Workshops, as well as country pavilions and market stalls. Last year’s edition drew over 2,000 participants from more than 30 countries, a number expected to grow even further in 2025.
Submissions are now open. More details are available here.
