Filming has kicked off in Copenhagen on The Perfect Lie, which has just been picked up for international sales by REinvent International Sales. The thriller-drama, centring on manipulation, power and broken illusions, is scheduled for local release in 2026 through Scanbox Entertainment.

The plot revolves around Clara, who enjoys a flourishing career and a seemingly perfect marriage with her charming husband, Tobias. But her life is thrown into disarray when she crosses paths with Katrine. Despite being polar opposites, the two women discover they share something crucial in common: Tobias. They join forces to uncover his double life, but Clara gradually starts to perceive cracks in Katrine’s façade. The closer she looks, the more she questions who can truly be trusted – and whether Katrine may prove even more calculating than Tobias himself.

Ølgaard, who previously made her mark as an actress in titles such as Headhunters [+lire aussi :

fiche film] (2011) and The Killing (2007), stars as Katrine. She made her directorial debut in 2023, co-helming The Angel Maker with Tønnesen. Neel Rønholt takes on the role of Clara, the smart and energetic wife who begins to doubt her own perception of reality. Youssef Wayne Hvidtfeldt, who rose to prominence through the DR series Prisoner [+lire aussi :

fiche série] (2023), plays Tobias, bringing nuance to the dangerously charming character.
