Balint Szentgyorgyi has been shooting his first feature film, the Hitchcockian thriller Egyke, since 28 September. Having previously created and directed The Informant [+lire aussi :

fiche série] (named Best Series at the 2023 Hungarian Film Awards), the filmmaker has also helmed three episodes of the King and Conqueror series (streaming on Amazon Prime Video and the BBC website), among other accolades.
The cast is led by Attila Vidnyánszky Jr. (crowned Best Actor at the 2016 Hungarian Film Awards for Home Guards [+lire aussi :

fiche film], Blockade), the story revolves around a childless couple from Budapest who travel to a rented holiday home in the countryside, cut off the from the rest of the world. Upon arriving in this house hidden at the heart of a forest, they have a strange experience: an adolescent approaches them and insists that they’re his parents…
Egyke is produced by Gabriella Illés and Norbert Köbli on behalf of TulipánTündér Productions, and enjoys support from the National Film Institute Hungary. The 33-day film shoot will proceed in Budapest and the surrounding area, with Péter Szatmári (Womb [+lire aussi :
