The Agora Crossroads Co-production Forum of the 66th Thessaloniki International Film Festival (30 October-9 November) has unveiled its 2025 selection, featuring a dynamic mix of works in development by both emerging and established filmmakers from across Europe, the Mediterranean and beyond.
This year’s line-up includes detective stories, science-fiction universes, family dramas, absurd comedies and politically charged narratives – all united by a commitment to strong authorship and distinctive voices. The selection highlights filmmakers such as Moufida Fedhila and Stefan Djordjević, whose new projects promise to intrigue and inspire the industry audience attending the Agora.
As part of Bridge to the North – a new initiative connecting Southern and Northern Europe – the forum will also present one Finnish project, Quiet Lake by Tonislav Hristov, produced by Kaarle Aho and Kai Nordberg (Making Movies), which is supported by the Finnish Film Foundation, the Helsinki International Film Festival, Finnish Film Affair, and the Finnish Embassy and Institute in Athens.
The Crossroads Co-production Forum jury consists of Frank Hoeve (BALDR Film, Netherlands), Uljana Kim (Studio Uljana Kim, Lithuania) and Andreas Zoupanos Kritikos (Faliro House, Greece), while Mathilde Hersant, head of Finance at ARTE France Cinéma, serves as the Arte Kino International Award juror.
The event continues to serve as a key platform for the development and co-production of feature films from Southeast Europe, the Mediterranean and the Middle East, facilitating creative collaboration and industry growth across the region.
