, directed by Alauda Ruiz de Azúa, topped the list of winners at the Feroz Awards – presented for the past 13 years by the Spanish Film Critics Association (AICE) to honour the best national audiovisual productions of the previous year. The ceremony took place last Saturday in the Galician city of Pontevedra.

The feature film, which had already been recognised by AICE with the Feroz Zinemaldia Award at the last San Sebastián Film Festival (where it also won the Golden Shell for Best Film) and which recently picked up the Forqué award a s well as leading the nominations for the upcoming Goya Awards with a total of 13, took home five statuettes, making it the standout winner of the night. The awards included Best Drama Film, Best Director, Best Leading Actress for Patricia López Arnaiz (her fourth Feroz Award, following Ane Is Missing [+lire aussi :

The award for Best Comedy Film went to The Dinner, a hit directed by Manuel Gómez Pereira, a seasoned figure in the genre. Basque actors José Ramón Soroiz and Kandido Uranga were recognised with the awards for Best Leading Actor and Best Supporting Actor respectively for their performances in Maspalomas [+lire aussi :

) for Best Leading Actor, while its talented creator Diego San José accepted the Feroz DAMA award for Best Series Screenplay, alongside Daniel Castro and Fernando Delgado-Hierro.

Actresses Esperanza Pedreño and Julia de Castro, who play sisters in the series, received their first Feroz awards (for Leading and Supporting Actress) for their outstanding work in the second season of Poquita fe, which was also in the running for Best Comedy Series. It was also the first AICE award for Secun de la Rosa, named Best Supporting Actor in a Spanish series last year for his role in Superstar [+lire aussi :

Finally, actress Marta Fernández-Muro (star of Spanish cult films such as Arrebato and Laberinto de pasiones, who also recently appeared in Poquita fe) took to the stage to receive her Feroz de Honor honorary award, greeted by warm applause from the audience.
