D’A Film Lab Barcelona, which aims to support the development, production and international distribution of first, second and third feature films, will hold its sixth edition from 22 to 25 March as part of the D’A – Barcelona Film Festival. The programme includes two sections dedicated to the international distribution of films in post-production.
The first, Final Cut, features a selection of eight Spanish and Catalan films competing for the D’A Film Lab Barcelona Award, worth €20,000. The jury is made up of cultural manager Isona Admetlla, director of the Cantabria Film Commission Víctor Lamadrid and executive producer Conxa Orea.
Notable tiles include The Fortunate Islands, a new collaborative work by Helena Girón and Samuel M. Delgado (They Carry Death [+lire aussi :

The second section, Panorama Catalunya, is dedicated to Catalan-language projects in post-production and features four films, two fiction titles and two documentaries. These include the Spanish-Colombian co-production Shattered Glass In The Pool by Ruth Caudeli Martí (read news), and Barcelona I’m Alone, the debut feature by Argentine actress and filmmaker Sofía Güerzoni.
The lab also includes the Emerging Production section, dedicated to training filmmakers who are making their first feature films, whether independently or as part of a production company. Among its 14 titles, highlights include Celeste en llamas, the feature film debut of David Velduque – host of the Sabor a queer podcast – following several short films, produced by Rubén Expósito; Rivo by Pau Cruanyes Garrell (who co-directed the 2020 film Yesterday's Two Nights [+lire aussi :
