The Polish National Film School in Lodz has opened applications for the 2026 edition of the Lodz Film School Intensive Workshops, an international training programme aimed at film students, recent graduates and emerging audiovisual professionals. Held between 24 August and 25 September, the workshops will be led by internationally acclaimed filmmakers and award-winning artists whose work and expertise have been recognised around the world, including Magnus von Horn, Radek Ładczuk, Piotr Dumała and Jacek Nagłowski.
Built around the school's long-standing emphasis on authorship and cinematic language, the programme focuses on small working groups, allowing participants to develop projects in close collaboration with tutors and peers while working with professional film equipment and studio facilities. The workshops explore directing, cinematography, animation and new audiovisual practices, placing artistic individuality and experimentation at the centre of the learning experience.
The Lodz Film School Intensive Workshops create a space where artistic research, film practice and experimentation intersect: from scene-based directing laboratories and cinematography masterclasses to the development of original animated films and hybrid audiovisual forms. The workshops focus on authorship, artistic individuality, cinematic language and hands-on creative practice – the core of the Lodz Film School’s teaching philosophy.
