L’islandaise Nina Dögg Filippusdóttir a commencé sa carrière en l’an 2000 dans Dramarama de Ragnar Bragason mais elle devient célèbre après avoir joué dans The Sea de Baltasar Kormákur le succès de l’année 2002.
«I live in Iceland but there are people from all over the world living there. So we have so many stories to tell and we can work with actors from all around. And I think that's interesting and could produce some special energy in filmmaking when you get different people from different countries with different energies and backgrounds.
