Ireland's European Shooting Star Danielle Galligan carries herself with confidence on screen, though she revealed that it does not always come easily. A graduate of The Lir Academy, she moved from theatre into television with early roles before becoming widely known through series such as Shadow and Bone (2021) and Kin (2021). On film, she impressed in Lakelands (2022), earning IFTA nominations, and most recently stepped into a leading role in Steven Knight’s series The House of Guinness (2025). Galligan reflected on speed dating with casting agents on Valentine’s Day as part of the Shooting Stars programme and revealed the director she dreams of working with.
