Multi platform business school (mpbs) is a project-based, tutorial and consultation driven course, which focuses on the business aspects of creating cross-platform content.
mpbs is geared to producers, company executives and creators of audiovisual content (film, television, internet, games and mobile) with a proven track record.
The program is designed for participants to develop their skills in creating crossmedia strategies and building sustainable business models for projects with transmedia potential. This year’s edition of mpbs is led by Michel Reilhac, former Head of Film Acquisitions at Arte France and Executive Director of Arte France Cinema working now as an independent transmedia author with his company Melange. Each participant will be assigned a tutor to provide consultation and guidance throughout the residential and online period of the course. Five participants will have the opportunity to present their project at an investor forum or market.
Confirmed tutors so far are Michel Reilhac (Melange), Tomas Leyers (Mindsmeet), Esther Wouda (Gloworm Film), Terry Stevens (Dogwoof), Mary Stephen (editor) and Domenico La Porta (Cineuropa, KWEB).
mpbs offers ways of maximising a project’s intellectual property (IP) value by developing cross media financing, production, marketing and international distribution strategies, with an emphasis on how to appeal and engage audiences and brands and maximise commercial value.
mpbs is structured as a 5 day residential training period (5th – 9th August 2013) in Ronda (Spain), online consultation over 6 months and market/investor forum project presentations.
Deadline to apply: June 28
More information and application form to be found on mpbs official website
