I direttori degli Award Johanna von Fischer e Tessa Collinson hanno dichiarato: “Per i MBIFA è stato un anno eccellente con 250 film proposti: per i nostri membri è stata la sfida più difficile di sempre. L'elevata qualità dei film e delle performance in tutte le categorie è impressa nella shortlist e dimostra lo standard della creatività del cinema indipendente inglese, che continua a crescere anno dopo anno”.

La cerimonia di premiazione si terrà il 7 dicembre a Londra.
