Coming to an end on Friday 13 November, the 56th Thessaloniki International Film Festival's Agora industry section unveiled its prizes that night. The event, directed by Marie-Pierre Macia, handed out awards in both of its subdivisions: the 11th Crossroads Co-Production Market and the Agora Works-in-Progress.

The jury of the Crossroads Co-Production Market, which included Greek producer Fenia Cossovitsa, German producer Titus Kreyenberg and Belgian producer Joseph Rouschop, decided to hand out the 2:35 Co-production Award (consisting of a full process of image and sound post-production, provided by 2:35) to the Serbian-Bosnian project Usud, directed by Stefan Malesevic and produced by Vladimir Vasiljevic for EED// Productions and Malesevic himself for Slovo Film. The team also received a free accreditaton for the next Cannes Producers Network. The jury also granted the French CNC Development Award (worth €10,000) to Greek project The Land of No One, directed by Christina Koutsospyrou and Aran Hughes, and produced by Vassilis Chrysanthopoulos for Plays2place Productions. Lastly, Italian project The T Factor, directed by Francesco Costabile and produced by Alessandra Grilli for Controra Film, got a Special Mention. In the same section, the Script2Film Workshops of the Mediterranean Film Institute awarded a scholarship to Tide, directed and produced by Lebanon's Hussen Ibraheem, as well as a half scholarship to Turkey's The Disappeared, directed by Ramin Matin, and produced by Emine Yildirim for Giyotin Films and Asli Erdem for Beatrice Films. And for the sixth year, the audiovisual development consulting company Initiative Film, represented by Isabelle Fauvel, offered its services to a Greek project: Elefsina, directed by Alexandros Skouras and produced by Georges Kyriakos and Effie Skrobola for View Master. In the meantime, the jury of the Agora Works-in-Progress, comprising Greek distributor Christos Behtsis, ACID managing director Fabienne Hanclot and German sales agent Maren Kroymann, granted the Graal Co-production Award (consisting of services in post-production) to Spanish project The City With No Compass, directed by Antonio Savinelli and produced by Ismael García López and Savinelli himself for Savinelli Films. An Honorary Mention went to Romanian project The Last Day [+leggi anche:

, directed and produced by Gabriel Achim for Green Film. These two works in progress were selected out of ten in total, which you can read about here.

The festival's organisers pointed out the satisfactory results of this year's edition of the Agora industry section, which welcomed professionals from several countries from all over the world for a whole week of networking and business.
