Following the European Film Market at the Berlin International Film Festival, where TrustNordisk presented a package of new promo reels, the Danish international sales agency has closed deals for six Nordic films.

“Scandinavian films still have a great brand,” said Rikke Ennis, managing director of TrustNordisk. “It gives us a feeling of reassurance to see our films being sold for distribution worldwide after Berlin.”

Danish director Jesper W Nielsen's The Day Will Come [+leggi anche:

scheda film] – his return to the big screen after six years of working for television, starring Lars Mikkelsen and Sofie Gråbøl – has been licensed to Benelux (Cherry Pickers), Latin America (California Filmes), the former Yugoslavia (Cinemania) and Turkey (Sinema TV Yay). It will open in Denmark on 21 April.

Finally, Swedish director Lisa Ohlin's Danish feature Walk With Me [+leggi anche:

scheda film], following a Danish soldier who has lost both legs on a mission in Afghanistan as he recuperates at a Danish rehabilitation centre, has been acquired for Brazil (by Alpha Filmes), the former Yugoslavia (Fivia) and France (KMBO).
