scheda film] will be screened at several locations at the opening of the Sarajevo Film Festival, and will be shown as part of the Open Air programme of the gathering. It was produced within the Sarajevo City of Film Global Screen (SCF GS) project by Obala Art Centar and Turkish State Radio and Television (TRT).
Letters from the Ends of the World will have its world premiere at the opening of the Sarajevo Film Festival as part of the Special Screening programme. This omnibus film is an international chronicle of the initial days of lockdown due to COVID-19, through 14 private home movies. It is the work of the film collective Bistrik7, comprising 13 international auteurs united by the experience of being the first generation of graduates at Béla Tarr’s film.factory in Sarajevo. The directors are Ghazi Alqudcy, Graeme Cole, Gonzalo Escobar Mora, Grant Gulczynski, Marta Hernaiz Pidal, Namsuk Kim, Bianca Lucas, Stefan Malešević, Patrick Marshall, Aleksandra Niemczyk, Pilar Palomero, Emma Rozanski and Gustavo Vega.
The festival has also announced the line-up of its Open Air programme, which will close with the world premiere of Toma by Serbian actor-producer-director Dragan Bjelogrlić. The film is billed as an impressionistic portrait of Toma Zdravković, a legendary singer popular across the former Yugoslavia throughout the second half of the 20th century. He is portrayed by Milan Marić, best known internationally for his role in Aleksei German Jr's Berlinale 2018 competition entry Dovlatov [+leggi anche:
