One of the most controversial features ever to win the Berlinale’s Golden Bear, Adina Pintilie’s debut feature, Touch Me Not [+leggi anche:

, has already been sold by Doc & Film International to 14 territories.

The feature will be distributed in France (Nour Films), Greece (Feelgood), Hungary (Vertigo Media), Italy (I-Wonder), Israel (Lev Cinemas), Portugal (Leopardo), Poland (New Horizons), Benelux (Contact Film), Switzerland (Xenix), Taiwan (Swallow Wings), Ukraine (Kinove) and Turkey (Mars Media). Negotiations are under way for Germany and the countries of the former Yugoslavia, as well as with other territories.

The film’s producer, Bianca Oana, tells Cineuropa that the film will be released in Romania in the autumn, with no deal signed yet with a local distributor. The film’s first domestic screening will most probably take place as part of the 17th edition of the Transilvania International Film Festival (25 May-3 June, Cluj-Napoca), but this has not yet been confirmed. 

Touch Me Not was produced by Manekino Film in co-production with Rohfilm Productions (Germany), Pink Productions (Czech Republic), Agitprop (Bulgaria) and Les Films de l'Étranger (France).

The other Romanian Golden Bear winner, Călin Peter Netzer’s Child’s Pose [+leggi anche:

 (2013), was sold by sales agent Beta Cinema to more than 30 territories. It was released domestically by Parada Film less than one month after the Berlinale, and it ended its run in local cinemas with a total of almost 120,000 admissions.
